Man!!! After reading so many great reviews we just HAD TO TRY them out!! 100% NOT DISAPPOINTED. Though the cashier seemed rather nonplussed to take our Dine In Order, the Price was Nice and the food was on our table in less than 3 minutes from paying. Talk about FAST SERVICE!! I tried the FAMOUS ON DANA POINT Burrito, as both a Local's Recommendation AND STAFF PICK. Amazing. Like having Steak and Fries in a Burrito, with all of the wonderful fixings one would expect; including a delightful Aioli Sauce. Mmm, mmm, mmmmmm... She *(my gf) had the Veggie Supreme, which was EXCELLENT, in her words. The Fresh Flan was tasty and creamy and a nice touch after the belly-filling and Satisfying Meal. Can't wait to come back again and try more incredible Menu items like the Surf n Turf Burrito!!!
Oh my god this place is so good! I had always heard people talking about Lupe's tacos being really good, but I just hadn't made the time to go out and try it myself. I ordered the chicken taco combo plate with refried beans. Let me tell you, these tacos are to die for. If you think they're a little pricey, there's a good reason. The tortillas are so thick and hearty, the chicken is seasoned well, and everything in the taco goes so well together. The rice is mild and well seasoned. The beans could use a little more spice but they're mild and go well with the rice. There are a few tables inside but most people either get their food to-go or sit down next door at their sister store Barra. The staff was kind and quick with our order. Give this place a try!
I wanted to eat at a local place instead of resort food, and I was not disappointed. The best tacos I've had. They also have a great spicy hot salsa. The restaurant and adjacent cantina were very busy at 6:30 on a Thursday evening. Good balance of eat-in diners, order and take out, and third party pick ups. The line went quickly as well as food prep/delivery. The next time I'm in town, i will definitely go back to try other dishes.

A local favorite in Dana Hills, Dana Point! Lupe’s Mexican Eatery—and their adjoining Sidebar—has been a solid go-to in Dana Hills for about three years now, and it shows. The ceviche bowl was fresh and packed with flavor, and the carne asada burrito was excellent. I had a couple of Cadillac margaritas that were perfectly mixed. The Sidebar has a chill, upscale vibe with an impressive tequila lineup. Shoutout to Victor, the manager—super welcoming and clearly takes pride in the place. If you’re in the Dana Point area, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

Their tacos are soooooooooo good. They just have one of tbe best tacos I've tried for these few years. Also, you MUST GET CARNITAS FRIES. Please trust me and get one. You won't regret. But just keep in mind, the portion of fries is enough for 2-3 ppl. I want to visit there right now while I'm writing a review. My husband also said their foods are really good. We will definitely visit again with more friends. We are confident that everyone will love here. Next time we'll get: 2 beer batteres fish tacos, 2 alpastor tacos, and carnitas fries for 2 people. If there are more people, maybe we will get more fish tacos. Their carnitas has crispy, grilled skin and juicy part inside... and the texture is so soft, but the flavor has not gone at all, they just kept the deep, concentrated savory flavor inside of the meat! I tried to make carnitas several times at home, but I couldn't event get closed to theirs!! So I would just go get one from there. So crazy.. Please please try their carnitas fries!!! And I hope my review would save as many people as I can
Great place for burrito or salad bowl. Their food are a bit pricey but delicious and tasty. They have a lot of meat and seafood options for your tacos or burritos or bowl and you can customize them too. This place gets pretty full during dinner time so expect a bit of wait. But don't worry people dine and go fast too. They only have 5 or 6 dining tables but you can always go to their bar/restaurant combo beside it so you can order a cerbeza or any alcohol along side with your tacos.
